ROOMS
At The Lab Hotel, we test the latest technologies and hotel concepts under real-life conditions. We offer students at the Thun Hotel Management School the opportunity to experiment with new concepts and their own ideas. They develop the room and service concepts themselves – and can observe the effect they have on the guests directly. In return, our guests have first-hand experience of the latest trends in the industry, before anyone else gets the chance to.
The hotel reception is open for you: Monday to Saturday from 07:00 am to 10.00 pm and on Sunday from 07.00 am to 07.00 pm.
MEEting and event
Welcome your seminar participants, guests and friends to The Lab Hotel directly in the premises of the Thun Hotel Management School, where hospitality and service are both taught by professionals and lived with passion. Make the most of our appetising packages.

Would you like breakfast?
We are happy to offer our guests for CHF 24 per person a lovingly prepared continental breakfast buffet with bread from Beck-Café Steiner from Thun in our Food Market: Monday to Saturday from 07.00 to 10.00 a.m. and on Sunday from 08.00 to 11.00 a.m.
Or how about a hearty breakfast with hot and cold dishes right opposite with our partner Hotel Seepark? Enjoy this delicious start to the day at a price of 36 CHF per person. Every Mon–Sat 07.00 a.m. – 10.00 a.m. and Sun, 07.30 a.m. – 11.00 p.m. Please place your order with us by 07.00 pm the previous day.

Restaurants of the Hotel Seepark
The restaurant (Thu to Sat from 6.30 p.m.)
In a relaxed, elegant atmosphere you will experience pure pleasure and the perfect harmony of food and drink. In the restaurant, which has been awarded 1 Michelin star and 16 GaultMillau points, gastronomy is celebrated at the highest level.
Restaurant & Terrace Schadau Castle
At noon and in the evening you will find a great choice at Schadau Castle. In the afternoon from 14.00 and from 21.00 a selection of bistro and bar dishes. But always something the Schloss chefs are proud of. At lunchtime, the Schloss team offers a selection from the à la carte menu in addition to the daily menus.

Gasthof Rössli Dürrenast
For a leisurely lunch or an evening without frills, there are of course numerous alternatives. How about typical Swiss cuisine or a touch of Italianita? Then we recommend for example the Gasthof Rössli Dürrenast.
IDEA
It’s all in the mix. Guests on business or holiday-makers who want to get to know Thun and the surrounding area feel at home in our 45 modern hotel rooms. Our 13 serviced apartments are primarily intended for longer stays and also have cooking facilities. Our Japanese-inspired capsule rooms are an inexpensive solution for overnight stays in Thun. Everyone who is looking for something out of the ordinary or who wants to try something completely new will be happy with one of our lab rooms.

SUP rental
A feeling of freedom and tranquility in the midst of an impressive mountain world. Far away from everyday life, on calm waters, comfortably paddling across the blue water towards the sun or the triumvirate of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Only a few steps away from Lake Thun we rent five inflatable SUP’s. You can rent them comfortably at our reception between 7.30 a.m. and 6.p.m. Rental prices per board including board / paddle rental and life jacket:

Discover the local area
The Lab Hotel is really only a few steps from the shore. Cross the street, and you will already be able to see Lake Thun through the shrubbery. A few metres further on, and you will be standing on the shore with the most incredible view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The sun rises over one of these three mountains (depending on the season, of course). The lakeshore makes the perfect backdrop for a morning jog, and right next to it is the English-style park, the ideal location for yoga, tai chi or morning meditation – or just for a short walk to end a long day.
